The News
Trish appeared to be in a delightful mood as she sprinted through the front door towards her husband. He hadn't witnessed her so happy in months. "Honey, I have the most fantastic news!" she exclaimed. Trish rapidly moved towards the couch and sat beside him.
For a moment, he wondered whether she could sense his tension. However, she seemed unconcerned as she took his hands in hers.
The Truth
He felt his heart racing in his chest, knowing that soon he would be the cause of her beautiful smile disappearing. "Oh?" he said, trying to force a smile. "What's going on?" he asked, but he knew his whole world was about to change. However, Trish then said the words he never thought he would hear.
But as soon as she made her announcement, he realized that she had betrayed him in the worst way possible.
He Wasn’t Happy
Scott stared at his wife with wide eyes as those words left her mouth. He couldn‘t believe what she had just told him. ?What?? He asked. He was frozen in place as he watched tears of joy spill down her cheeks. But then, she repeated her words.
I‘m pregnant, Scott! We‘re finally going to have a baby!? she said, but she couldn't understand why he didn’t seem happy.
